' [ …] Nor to our taste is the product of her art more pleasant than of old, though nothing in point of style or diction can be urged against it. [dislikes novella a lot, but the short stories not too bad …] and with the exception of 'John Granger' and 'Levison's Victim' have nothing very gruesome about them.'
